As the snow falls
Covering our mothers land
Grandfather time takes five

Polyester suits
Papers galore
Over filled briefcases
More statistics to store
Smiles from ear to ear
Hiding the process of what's yet to come
Numbers and sums
Bills and dues
Seminars to make it look smooth
Yet!!!!
From the top we never hear
Heads must roll!!!!
Check all numbers!!!!
Check out amounts!!!!
Cut all decimals that don't count
Scraping the barrel
Reach to the edge
Pockets getting deeper
Fuller each day as they gouge
To drop the red
Wow!!!!
Each time I figure I might get ahead
I get pushed to the end of the line
Was I day dreaming
When they stuck a number to my head?
Too bad they don't see we're humans with hearts
We're not just ink that covers the page
How many pockets do they need to feed?
Filling their own superficial selfish greed
So I'll erase this number that's slid to my face
I can be content with my own place of ease

The Birth Of A Rainbow

When God sent Noah upon his quest
To help the world revive truth and innocence
Feeling such sorrow for what he had done
Deep down inside a single tear spun

As it slid from his eyes, past his lips
The littlest of angels caught it
Before it turned into mist

She place it upon a pillow of grace
Then her little wings flew her
Through visions of time and space

When she reached the world that we now know
Mother Nature blessed it with purity and soul
She placed a soft kiss upon the single tear
It released radiant beauty, she holds so dear

The sweet angel flew through a single cloud
Father Time stepped up and blessed it with power
Colors of the universe arched down from his tower

As she flew by the mountain tops and trees
The Goddess of love fell to her knees
She then blessed it with a piece of her soul
Adding a touch of love and her undying control

With this unselfish act of the beauty
The Father of all, with the endless duty
Spoke His memorable words
For all divine creatures, still sung by the birds
